Manager of Marketing, Social Media & Game Day Environment

General Description:     

The Manager of Marketing, Social Media & Game Day Environment is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies, online and in person, to enhance our brand and increase participation in youth soccer programs throughout Oregon.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:   

Undergraduate level of conceptual thinking, organization or expression obtained by a college/university degree or equivalent life experience.

Experience:     

College degree in marketing and/or social media management, or five years’ experience in lieu of degree. Sports marketing experience is a plus. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of computer applications including Microsoft Suite. Proficiency in using established marketing software as well as design suites where needed. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and work independently. Knowledge and experience in Photoshop/InDesign a plus. Bilingual is a plus.

This position would be ideal for someone starting out in a marketing career. Job Duties:

1. Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan to support the growth of youth soccer in Oregon within the strategic scope of Oregon Youth Soccer Association (OYSA).

2. Manage and grow the association’s presence on various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Monitor social media trends and leverage them to engage with a younger audience.

3. Create engaging content that resonates with our audience, including graphics, videos, and written posts.

4. Create game day environment programming that encourages families to take advantage of specific partnership deals and offers locally, when traveling or demonstrating membership of OYSA.

5. Collaborate with USYS, US Soccer and internal departments at OYSA to ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials.

6. Analyze and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and social media engagement throughout the seasonal year.

7. Coordinate with local clubs and teams to promote events, tournaments, and success stories where appropriate.

8. Manage the association’s website content to ensure it is current, dynamic, and user-friendly. Manage the content, creation, and publishing of the association’s digital magazine.

9. Able to work within our schedule with the understanding that there will be weekend work occasionally.

This position is considered non-exempt from minimum wage and overtime pay requirements. Medical and Dental package paid for by Employer. IRA matching package available.

The annual salary for this position is $45K.

The position is a full-time, in-office position based in Beaverton, Oregon.
