Education

In conjunction with US Soccer, OYSA offers coaching education through out the state.

It is OYSA’s goal is that all competitive coaches has a D License and all recreational coaches have a Grassroots License. OYSA offers both D and C licenses.

The Digital Coaching Center (DCC), through US Soccer, tracks all coaching licenses. Please create a profile and watch the Introduction course if you are new. Once you have completed those you can start registering for the other courses. If you need help with the DCC please contact Nelson Larson at nelson@oregonyouthsoccer.org.

Grassroots Courses

The Grassroots courses focus on U.S. Soccer’s Coaching Education Philosophy, Play-Practice-Play Methodology, the Six Tasks of a Coach, and the characteristics of players in that specific game model (4v4, 7v7, 9v9, 11v11). Find Grassroots information and courses here.
