Technical Director Girls Position Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Technical Director to lead our Girls Program at Hillsboro Rush. As a Technical Director, you will oversee all aspects of the girls’ soccer program, including player development, coaching, and team management. You will work closely with our coaching staff, players, and parents to ensure the successful implementation of our program’s vision and mission.

Responsibilities:

Coaching a Competitive Team (1), include training and game attendance.   Develop and implement a comprehensive training curriculum for the girls’ soccer program, focusing on player development and performance enhancement. Lead and mentor a team of coaches, providing guidance, feedback, and support in their coaching efforts. Conduct regular coaching sessions, team practices, and game analysis to improve player skills and performance. Collaborate with other technical staff, including the Director of Coaching and other Technical Directors, to ensure consistency in coaching methodologies and program philosophy.
Develop and maintain relationships with local clubs, schools, and other soccer organizations to promote the girls’ program and identify talent. Oversee player evaluation and selection processes, team formations, and player placement. Provide regular communication to players, parents, and stakeholders about program updates, training schedules, and player progress. Assist with organizing and coordinating soccer events, tournaments, and camps for the girls’ program. Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in soccer coaching, player development, and women’s soccer, and apply best practices in the program.

Qualifications:

USSF or equivalent coaching license at the National C or higher level. Bachelor’s degree in sports management, kinesiology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience coaching girls’ soccer at competitive levels, preferably as a Technical Director or in a similar leadership role. Strong understanding of player development principles, coaching methodologies, and soccer tactics. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate players and coaching staff. Self-motivated and proactive in taking initiative and driving results. Passion for promoting and developing girls’ soccer, with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the sport.  Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate practice and game schedules. Proficiency in soccer-specific software and technology for training, analysis, and communication.
