Presidents Cup

Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a national title.

Teams that win their U13-U19 bracket move on to US Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup

 

 

 

Fall 2024 (U11-12)

  • Registration and Payment Deadline is October 7 at 5 pm
    • Entry fee is:
      • $850 for U11/12 Teams
    • $100 late fee for any team that pays after this deadline
  • Recommended for Premier Silver/Division 1 Teams
    • Premier Gold teams cannot play in Presidents Cup (U11 to U12 only)
    • D2 teams may participate
  • October 7 at 5 pm – Field Inventory Due
  • October 8 at 5 pm – Schedule Request Forms Due
  • October 23 at 5 pm – Roster Freeze Deadline
  • Seeding will be based on league standings, points per game average used to determine standings
    • U11 Seeding done by blind draw by the bracket the team played in
  • Group Games
    • November 2 and November 9
  • Quarterfinals
    • November 16 (if your group has quarterfinals)
  • Semifinals/Finals
    • November 17/23

U11 and U12 teams do not advance to Far West Presidents Cup

Spring 2025 (U13-19)

  • Registration and Payment Deadline is February 24th at 5 pm
    • Entry fee is $850
    • $100 late fee for any team that pays after this deadline
  • Recommended for Premier Silver/Division 1 Teams
    • D2 teams may participate. 
    • Premier Gold teams are encouraged, but not required, to enter State Cup
  • February 24 at 5 pm – Field Inventory Due
  • February 24 at 5 pm – Schedule Request Forms Due
  • March 26 at 5 pm – Roster Freeze Deadline
  • Seeding will be based on Winter League standings
    • Winter standings determined by points per game average at the time of seeding
    • Seeding done on March 6th
  • Group Games
    • April 5 – 19
  • Quarterfinals – April 26
  • Semi Finals – April 27
  • Finals – May 3

Roster Rules for Presidents Cup

  • National Presidents Cup Rules in sidebar
    • Regionals continuity starts with state level roster, 9 must carry forward​ (Rule 301, Page 9)

    • Nationals continuity starts with Regional level roster, 9 must carry forward (Rule 301, Page 9)

    • If a State Association holds separate and distinct qualifying events to identify the team advancing to the regional level of the National Presidents Cup competitions, a player who was rostered to a team that competed in the semifinal or final matches at the state or regional level of a designated US Youth Soccer National Championship Series event (NCS) is not eligible to participate at the regional or national level of the National Presidents Cup competitions (Rule 302 Section 3).
    • A limited number of additional players may be added to teams advancing to the National Presidents Cup Regional and National levels of competition.  Additional Rostered Players must be properly registered with US Youth Soccer and the advancing team’s State Association at the beginning of the State qualifying event(Roster Freeze Deadline).  Additional Rostered Players may be from any other member club in good standing and recognized as a member by the State Association.
      • A team may utilize a total of five (5) additional rostered players in a seasonal year in the Regional and/or National Presidents Cup competition(Rule 301)

 

Qualifying for Regionals

U13 to U19 winners play at the 204 Far West Presidents Cup 

  • OYSA pays the entry fee for teams that advance to Regionals.
  • OYSA expects that teams that register for Presidents Cup will make the trip to Far West Presidents Cup

    • President Cup National Information
      • July 12-16th, 2024 in Wichita, KS
    • Winners need to confirm by TBD that they are traveling to Far West Presidents Cup
    • Teams who drop after deadline will be assessed the fine from USYS
